JJ Moon is a writer/producer most known for crafting thrillers and holiday rom-coms with a twist. Her writing passion lies in the delicious collision of science, metaphysics, and murder -- though she equally delights in stories laced with holiday cheer, romance, with a dash of mystery. 

Her latest writing project, A SCOTTISH CHRISTMAS SECRET (Nicely Entertainment), starring Caprice Bourret and Alex Trumble, wrapped filming this year. She also produced the independent documentary film GASHOLE (available on Amazon and Tubi), which explores intriguing conspiracy theories surrounding the history of oil prices and alternative fuels -- featuring Peter Gallagher and Joshua Jackson. Her holiday script, CATALINA CHRISTMAS, was a finalist in the Stage 32 Holiday Movies Screenwriting competition.

In addition to her own writing and producing, JJ currently works for acclaimed showrunner Carol Mendelsohn, (CSI franchise), assisting with writing, world-building, character development -- and offering the occasional psychic readings (yes, seriously). She also partners with writer/director Shaun Piccinino of Piccinino Pictures (known for: A CALIFORNIA CHRISTMAS on Netflix and THE ISLAND on Prime) as a writer, producer, and script supervisor across multiple projects.

Before landing in Hollywood, JJ worked as a medic while earning her degree in Theater and Arts -- a diverse background that continues to inform her work which spans multiple genres -- with a unique blend of intellect, dark humor, and deeply human storytelling. A passionate advocate for emerging voices, JJ has served as a mentor with the Young Storytellers Program, helping students from underserved communities craft their original scripts. 

When she’s not plotting character deaths or orchestrating meet-cutes, JJ is being outsmarted daily by her awesome daughter -- whom she has (mostly) promised not to sell to gypsies.
